Iran, and the silence of the MSM and the Left

Yes, I know... I said "the MSM and the Left". I know, they're one and the same...

A commenter here on my blog made this astute observation...
Funny how comparisions to Hitler are so freely leveled at George Bush. But when Iran does something so reminiscent of the Nazi regime; silence.
Right on! Well lefties? Anyone want to comment? Anyone care to disprove that theory? Anyone from the MSM? (other than the National Post, who ran it as THEIR LEAD STORY, AS IT SHOULD BE)

How about the CBC? NOTHING ON IRAN, but funny, they have a lead story on the UN calling on the US to close Gimto.

CTV? Nothing on Iran, but again, this is one of their TOP STORIES... I think you're point has just been proven there Ryan about the silence of the leftist MSM...

Toronto Star? NOPE, but the anti-US story is there also... funny that...

Globe & Mail? No Iran, but Gimto strikes again.

Funny... TorStar, CTV/G&M, and the CBC... all calling on Gimto to be closed, but silence on Iran... all three of the left leaning media groups... imagine that...

If this story is indeed true, IT OUGHT TO BE WORLD HEADLINES.

Great post. I'm beginning to think we're moving closer to 1938. Check out the post on my blog regarding that.

well dirk...good to see you took the time to look on google before making your comments...

Look up Iran red ribbon yellow ribbon and you can eventually find these 2 links... it's take you all of 3 clicks

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3252830,00.html

    OMG...look at CTV...
    http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20060519/iran_badge_reports_060519/20060519/

there's a start... but still nothing on it from the MSN until the PM brings it to the forefront.... and if you look at the dates these things are dated as far back as the 15th... they've gone over the news wire... so why isn't it on CTV , CBC, the Globe and Mail, or the Post until today?

next...on Geneva and the initial intent of what it stood for and what was intended...a fair set of rules all prisoners of war are to be treated under... first question... How many of the people at Gitmo have died? next question, how many American's have died? where's the UN during all of this and why aren't they condeming the Iraq's Resistance fighters? Final question, what does the UN actually stand for these days with the head of humanitarian rights coming from the country with the majority of human rights violations???

Regarding the comparisons of Bush to Hitler, you're right, it is mostly posters on blogs or protesters on the street, almost ALL of them being "lefties" however... don't you agree?

Regarding Gimto, the arguments do typically fall to the left/right poles of the political spectrum. I support the US efforts, and even some of their methods, as they've recognized that this is a NEW STYLE of warfare. If the terrorists honoured the Geneva Convetion, the world would be a much better place. I'm saddened that most of the world has turned their backs on the US... when the US saved ALL our butts during WWII. Don't forget, it was the terrorists that launched the first salvos in this conflict... on the WTC in 1993 AND 2001. Until the left wakes up to the realities of this conflict, we're all in trouble. And I'll remind the left that THE PLANNING FOR THE SEPTEMBER 11TH ATTACKS STARTED BACK WHEN CLINTON WAS STILL THE PRESIDENT, so don't give me any junk about this being an anti-Bush conflict.

"Also, no other major media outlet in the world has corroborated this story as of yet."
I'll give you that one... only time will tell.

It's not that Uncommon to find postings on Web News Sites or Blogs that are complete crap.
And..the speed with which many blogsters have jumped on this "Tag the Joo" story does not give it credibility.
Also CTV?? Fact checking is a non-occuring event there!

Funny tho' how this little story fits right in with the perception of the shitstick Ahmadinejad!

I would not put it past him.

The National Post has now deep-sixed this news story from it's website, and the latest update on the story
    comes from CP...

Actually PM Harper was quit reserved in his response to this. He qualified all his statements with "if this is true" as did John Howard

I know that this is off topic but I just had to put my thoughts in type.

The DaVinci code book and movie will spark new life into Christian Conservatives and give them a new reason to hang together against the left leaning liberals, whether they be here in Canada or in the U.S.
When Hollywood thought that in taking aim at the figure of Christ and in trying to break the Christian stronghold they did not realize that they were going to bring about a rallying cry for the Christian Conservatives. By attacking Christ, the Christian Conservatives now realize that anything Hollywood stands for, or says, or who Hollywood endorses for political office is going directly against what they stand for. So what Hollywood hoped to achieve is falling flat on it’s face and has become a rallying cry for Christian Conservatives to keep the faith and sink anything hooey-wood stands for especially the left-leaning liberals.
