MSM reports on Ignatieff gaffe, said Harper is "Satan"

The Toronto Sun has reported on Ignatieff's "devilish" attack on PM Harper on Saturday, where he likened Mr. Harper to Satan himself. Still no apology from Mr. Ignatieff for perhaps the lowest blow ever struck in Canadian politics. Glad to see that at least on MSM outlet has picked up on this serious gaffe that was reported yesterday.

From today's Toronto Sun:
Ignatieff kicked off his summer tour in Calgary by touting the Liberal’s “positive message” and then compared Prime Minister Stephen Harper to the devil, "You know you smell the whiff of sulfur coming off the guy.” In literature, the whiff of sulfur is often used to describe the devil and someone as well read as Ignatieff should know to choose his words more carefully.
Why rookie Liberal leader Michael Ignetieff has decided to take a play out of Venuzeulan dictator Hugo Chavez's book, I have no idea. But what we do know is this... it is perhaps the first time a Canadian politician has stooped so low as to publicly accuse his opponent of being evil incarnate.

More to come as this serious gaffe gets more coverage.

UPDATE: Liberal peons are already trying to defend their hapless leader's remarks... this, amm, not so clever response from Harper hater Jennifer McMackon's Twitter,
Jatsimpleposie @ChristianConsrv Maybe you're just so accustomed to the smell of #cpc you don't notice it. #cdnpoli

There are two fairly big news items here.
The words Iggy spoke and the near complete lack of coverage by the MSM.
Do we need further proof to justify a conservative news source to compete with leftist rags?

Nothing surprises me anymore at what the liberal Ignatieff says or does. He is a liberal entitled to his entitlements just as the rest of the liberals so whatever he says is not to be of any surprise. APOLOGY is most definitely not in the liberal agenda.

The liberal party that stole from the public throughout their years while in government and while the media sat idly by-you know very well the work of the devil was at hand.

Standing by your country during the recession and praising her overseas trying to do the best you can for your country like the prime minister stephen did doesn't strike me the devils work. BUT God's work.
BTW, The prime minister stands by God's country ISRAEL.

I smell the sulfur coming out of the liberals from a mile away and we definetly smell the stench coming out of the LPOC OWN MEDIAS.

Take a hard look at your party Ignatieff- the devil roams within.

Not that I wish to excuse Ignatieff ... but Elizabeth May has been just as irrational in some of her personal attacks against PM Harper.

Remember the comparison to Neville Chamberlain? And the PM called a climate change "denier", with the Holocaust connotation that word evokes?

Elizabeth May also wrote a sanctimonious blog post last year during the "wafer-gate" episode.
“I think we have a problem” she concluded.

The self-appointed saviour of the planet and would-be pope or primate wrote:
"But as (I think it is safe to assume) the only federal leader who recently finished a course in “The Eucharist,” I thought it would be worth at least explaining why what the Prime Minister did at the funeral was sacrilegious."

I don't wish to revive the host controversy, nor to excuse Ignatieff's brainless allusion to the smell of sulphur. I simply want to point out how low the PM's opponents stoop to, while at the same time professing to not wanting to get "personal". Hypocrites.
