The campaign so far... in pictures

CTV has some photos up from the first few days of the campaign, so I thought I'd add some commentary...

Harper does his "Mime behind the glass wall" routine

"In dis election, I will karate chop Mr. Harper's Conservatives with BOTH hands, like dis..."

Duceppe does his best Dion impression, to the roar of the... well, the 10 remaining seperatists he could find in town

Jack Layton channels Barak Obama... or is it the other way around?

One of the BEST photos I've seen of the campaign so far. (They should turn this one into a wallpaper for supporters to download)

"We're leaving..."

"...on a jet plane..."

"...don't know when... amm, er, where's da jet plane guys?"

"Don't worry Stephane, planes are only for sissies... besides, you don't need one to try and stop the bleeding in Quebec..."

Looks like you're stealing Rick Mercer's "Front Page" routine, CC.

Yeah that picture of Harper and Laureen with the Chateau Frontenac in the background does look nice. If If I was a Conservative, I WOULD use it as my desktop.

By the way, I think it's better if Dion traveled the country by bus. As opposed to a plane, when you're flying over everybody, you really get a much better feeling of the people while you're on the road. You have a better chance to make impromptu stops in rural Saskatchewan for example.

Ah when you have lemons...make lemon aid.

Listen closely Alan...UR party has no $$$, less than zero in the bank actually. That's why Dion's taking the bus.

God forbid a Liberal would ever not spin anything remotely negative about their party.

If he made the decision to take a bus because it got him in touch with the "people". Great. I could respect that. But it wasn't a decision he made, the lack of $$ made it for him...

    Or maybe....

It was a wider conspiracy involving Air Canada, the NDP and the Conservatives to deny the Grits a decent plane for more advantage for themselves.

I wouldn't put it past them. Layton and Harper seem to be agreeing a lot lately...
