Garth Turner officially "Jumps the shark"
A "Jumping the shark" moment has it's origins from the TV show "Happy Days", when the Fonz "jumped the shark" while waterskiing on an episode. It's become a phrase which refers to the moment when a TV show loses all credibility... such as the "Bobby steps out of the shower" moment on Dallas, when the producers tried to convince viewers that the entire previous season, in which Patrick Duffy's character "Bobby" had died, and was all just part of a dream. (the show took a ratings nosedive at that point)
Anyway, I've been watching him slowly lose it over recent months, however, now, there can be no doubt... The Honourable Garth Turner, PC, MP, has officially "jumped the shark"... he's totally lost it. The guy's totally paranoid, he's now seeing "Harper conspiricies" in every corner! Just look at these statements from his blog today...
John Tory and his crew, of course, had been clobbered over his policy to fund faith-based schools - an initiative that had Stephen Harper fingerprints all over it.
I am sure my former Ontario caucus colleagues - the ones who gravely warned me not to take on Rev. Charles McVety one year ago when the PMO [read: Stephen Harper] backed his run at my job - are having some well-deserved second thoughts.
"In Ontario, his [Mr. Harper's] vote-splitting social Conservative agenda [supposedly as seen in the Ontario election, as if he was somehow running the show] was shredded."
Has this guy gone completely mad? This guy is seeing Harper conspiricies in every corner... if he keeps this up, he's going to start jumping at his own shadow any time now!
While it's true some Conservatives lended their help to John Tory's campaign, there's no way that he can claim this election was somehow run out of the PMO. Not a freaking chance... in fact, those of us who have access to Federal campaign resources were EXPLICITLY REMINDED by the higher ups that we were NOT to use any of our resources for the Ontario election. (to which I responded with a "No duh!")
I'll just say this... if I lived in Halton, and wasn't a CPCer, I'd be asking myself if it would be better, for his own sake, to gently escort Mr. Turner from his MP's office, over to a nice padded room via the ballot box during any forthcoming election...

Geez, I just realized how dumb you are.
If you don't realize that Harper has been inappropriately interfering in provincial politics - you've been sleeping or are truly a dumb person.

Let me guess... you live in Ontario? With our election results from last night, I have to assume you're just one of the other lemmings.
