Liberal MP's election sign appears
We're not into an election just yet, however, one Liberal MP's campaign sign has popped up (or, should I say, washed up) on a beach in Ireland!
Humm, washed up... a sign of things to come? ;-)

Liberal campaign sign washes up in Ireland -- is it an omen?Read all about it from the The Mayo News, the Irish paper that ran the story.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has rejected the rampant speculation about a federal election this fall, but a Newfoundland Liberal MP's campaign sign has already popped up -- on a beach along the northwest coast of Ireland.
In a bizarre case of trans-Atlantic politicking, a lawn sign urging voters to support Bonavista-area Liberal candidate Scott Simms has come ashore some 3,500 kilometres away -- on the Irish isle of Achill -- after apparently spending more than three years bobbing its way across the ocean.
The sign's incredible journey has grabbed headlines in Ireland and left Simms -- now the Liberal critic for Fisheries and Oceans, and a former Weather Network broadcaster -- with a serious forecasting challenge: Is it a sign of buoyant hopes for Stephane Dion's embattled Liberal troops, or a grim omen for a washed up party?

The only thing "green" in this story is the island where it ended up! ;-) (The "Emerald Isle")

Until about 1990 (time of the first great "green" wave) election campaign signs were made of durable (but biodegradeable)cardboard.
Now they're made out of this corrugated plastic board stuff, which--as we can see--is basically indestructable.
Go Greenie! =P
