I agree, the carbon tax may (I haven't made up my mind on this one yet) actually be decent policy but one CANNOT win an election with it...

William says....
NO...it will NOT be decent policy.
It is exactly the same Liberal environment policy they have been pushing for nearly 12 years, and has nothing to do with saving the planet.
When the Liberals signed onto KYOTO, they had no intention of actually changing laws to make environmentalism attractive, to make it profitable to all Canadians.
The goal was and still is, to embezzle, Canadian taxpayers money.
They want to buy CARBON CREDITS,
from Russia and China...who will
invest the money in Russian
and Chinese companies that the Liberals are already heavily invested in.
ASK former PM P Martin about his company Canada Steamship Lines and the lucrative contracts to deliver COAL to CHINA.
We here in Ontario are supposed to close our Coal-fired energy plants and pay huge NEW taxes, for our sins of destroying the planet, while CHINA builds 500 or more new Coal-fired energy plants...and if DION gets his way...you and I will pay for, while LIBERALS get rich.
Typical LIBERAL theivery at its finest.
Carbon Taxes are/is KYOTO, in a different wrapper...and it's still the scam of the century.
Everything I've said can be verified...do your own googling.

It's interesting how the contards are calling this bad policy when they don't even know what the policy is.
