Air Canada clips Dion's wings
LOL! Turns out Air Canada turned down the Liberal's request to lease a plane, should the writ drop... and now they're in a panic to find one!
Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion told a gathering of supporters last night in Toronto that if the Prime Minister wants to force an election, the Liberals are ready.
He did not, however, mention the small problem of a campaign plane. The Liberals don't have one and, according to a source, are scrambling to find one after being turned down by Air Canada. Insiders say there is growing concern among Liberals that they will not be able to get one before an election is called.
Wow... scrambling to get candidates in place, desperate to find a plane, smacks of real disorganization... and these guys want to run the country?

Have to assume that Air Canada doesn't like the prospects of being paid by the LPC in such a deal? These are the quality of people we have in LPC these days. (real conservative)

In defence of the Liberals (I can't believe I just said that...), Air Canada states in the article that they turned them down because they won't have enough air crews to handle them... Air Canada has already signed agreements (for the last few years) with the CPC and the NDP.

How come both the CPC and the NDP have ALREADY signed agreements with Air Canada and the LPC hasn't? Because the CPC and the NDP ARE ORGANIZED and the LPC AREN'T ORGANIZED!!
The LPC just doesn't have its act together, and looking at the head Librano honchos, it's not hard to see why.

which sort of makes the whole, "They're forcing us into an election" crap from Harper ring sort of false, don't you think?
Guess its time to spend another billion dollars so you can pretend you're "getting things done."

Don't have enough aircrew... Is that like the pretty girl telling you that she would love to go out with you but she has to wash her hair tonight. Personally I think Air Canada found out that the Libs have exceeded the limit on their credit cards.

Just because the Liberals aren't ready for an election doesn't mean they're intelligent enough to realize it, or to realize the actual extent of their unreadiness.
