Election Signs in Guelph

I've driven all over the city in the past week, and I've been monitoring the appearence of election signs. Interestingly enough, the Green Party was first out of the gate, and I think they have between 100-200 signs around the city... mostly lawn signs along the main arteries or in major intersections. Our guys were second out of the gate but slow off the mark, as the NDP then passed us with large signs in most major intersections within 3-4 days of the writ. We've since killed them, with likely 300 some odd signs throughout the city, large and small.

The Liberal Party, with a sitting MP? Eight. 8. Huit. That's it. I've been watching for a week and a half now. I can tell you where every single one is. And they're all lawn signs that look like they've been pulled out of the home owners garage from the last time around. NONE on the major routes, no large artery signs, zip, zilch, nada.

Maybe, like in Quebec, they're having trouble finding people willing to give them the time of day to go out and pound them into the ground?

Just a thought. A happy one mind you, but still just a thought.
