Statement on Montreal Massacre
Warren Kinsella asked if any of the leaders had mentioned it, as today was 16 years since the horrible event, and none of the media had reported on any leaders statements. Stephen Harper did indeed make a statement today. No sign of any statement by the PM. (and yes, I did search the Liberal site)
UPDATE: It appears all the leaders issued statements... the PM's was on the PM website, not the Liberal Party website.

A quick check of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) site shows that the PM did indeed make a statement about the Montreal Massacres:

Who cares? Do our political leaders have to make statements on the anniversary of every murder and natural disaster? If so, it won't be too long when that is all they'll be doing.
I'd rather see action than hear words. Be proactive in preventing the crime instead of providing lip service in order to score points for elections.

That settles it then, I've got to vote for Harper. :D
