With Kinsella confirming today that he's joining the Rocco Rossi team, you can quote me on this... Rossi's numbers will start to climb in two to two and a half weeks. At the same time, Smitherman will start some serious bleeding, as people realize that there's just no way he can beat Ford.

Summer vaction is almost over
Well folks, I'm guessing that it's mostly due to the summer break, but there's been little or nothing to report on politically during these lazy days of summer... other than the breakdowns of the "Just Visiting Express", aka "The FailBus".
With the various municipal election campaigns ramping up, and the return of Parliament, there's sure to be lots more to blog on. I encourage everyone to start looking into who's running in their area, and ensure that as few left-wing folks get elected. They only reason any of them EVER win is because too many of us are apathetic about municipal politics. Don't forget that they control TENS OR HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of our tax dollars, or in the case of Toronto, BILLIONS. Make sure that reasonable people are elected to oversee spending, and not more "tax and spend" Liberals and Socialists.

McGuinty's new Cabinet Minister a 2003 CTF Teddy Award Winner
Just who is Glen Murray, McGuinty's latest Ministerial appointment?
“Our Teddies are an appropriate way to give them the recognition they so richly deserve,” he said. But half a dozen golden sows are languishing in CTF’s Ottawa office because only former Winnipeg Mayor Glen Murray has actually accepted his award.
Williamson said CTF Manitoba director Adrienne Batra showed up at Murray’s office in 2003, statue in hand. Murray came out of his office, accepted the pig and put it on his toilet in the mayor’s office.
Among other tax dollar abuses, Murray was cited for his pet project of a $1 million toilet on the Provencher footbridge as part of an ambitious $5 million urban facelift project.

TorStar BUSTED making "edits" to Rob Ford's Wiki page
What that? The left-wing media getting actively involved in trashing a right-wing candidate? Say it ain't so... oops, looks like it is so.
Someone at The Toronto Star has been busted making a number of edits to Rob Ford's personal Wikipedia page, adding a link to a satirical website that posted obscene content mocking the Toronto mayoral front-runner.
Not that I see this as anything new... they just got caught this time.

Young Liberals posing with wooden posts
Well, I'm back from vacation! Looks like I didn't miss much... still a lot of censeless chatter out there from the media, and more goofy photos of Michael Ignatieff on the FailBus Express.
Personally, I like this one... a bunch of Young Liberals posing with some wooden posts...

Just busy, not dead... blogging to resume soon
Sorry to break the bad news to all my detractors, but I'm not dead... just dead busy. Lots to do at work, municipal campaign stuff on the go, delivered a sermon on examples faithful saints from the Old Testament (specifically Joseph & Daniel), and trying to get all these things wrapped up in time for vacation coming up soon.
Also, I've been spending more time playing with Twitter, with what little time I have that is. If nothing of interest comes up in the next couple days, I'll see you all again sometime mid-August.
