The Left and their Iconic Leaders

Interesting, how the Obama posters look so much like others we've seen throughout history...

At least the Obama supporters in Houston are honest, they don't even try to hide it...

h/t to Right Hand Man

UPDATE: Just to clarify for some folks who think I'm attacking Mr. Obama here... this post is refering to Obama's SUPPORTERS, not Mr. Obama himself. I could go on about Mr. Obama, but that's not the thrust of this post... it's an examination of the throngs of the "Obama Nation", and how they're idolizing their presumptive nominee in a similar fashion to how the left has always iconized their leaders.

Are you saying that a graphic depiction of Obama links him to communism? That is stupid..

Oh come on, you really are stretching things here. You know, anyone can make a poster to make anyone look like this.

    Pathetic to say the least.

People like you are dangerous. Harper looks like Hitler in some photos - arms up and all.....shoudl we go there?

    Boy you sure a Christian....NOT

    This is awful

No, I'm pointing out how it's interesting how the left iconizes and reveres their leaders the way they do.

It's not the graphics that make a man look like a Communist... if anything were to make him look like a Commie, it would be any extreme leftism he exudes.

The poster is an Obama authorized one, as far as I'm aware.

I don't think posting this is "unChristian", I'm simply pointing out something that others have already been saying.

And what's "unChristian" about pointing out someone whom I percieve as being a dangerous candidate? I was just thinking about it this morning... to me, he apears to be all flash, with no substance.

I'm just afraid the American people are so worried about their future that they'll put it into these inexperienced hands, just because he LOOKS and SOUNDS like someone who could solve all their problems, and put "a chicken in every pot", when the solutions to the problems that they face are a whole lot more complex than the platitudes he offering up right now.

Besides... my comment was directed at the throngs of Obama hero worshipers, not at Mr. Barak Obama himself. I hope you can see the distinct difference.

    Thanks for the h/t Christian.

I was making the exact same point in how Obama's supporters are idolizing him like the left has always done with its leaders.

I didn't even go into the messianic-like pictures that some supporters have created about him...

From flag pins, to terrorist fist jabs, to communist posters to out of context portrayals of his wife's statements; it seems no detail is too small or insignificant to attack Obama.

Once in awhile it would be nice to point out that Republicans misrepresented intelligence, caused an unjust war resulting in thousands dead both American soldiers and innocent Iraqi civilians, spent trillions on the war leading to an economy in shambles, oil prices through the roof, and a massive increase to debt that America's children will be saddled with. Oh year Bush bungled Katrina, destroyed America's good reputation in the world, failed to secure the border and now threatens to repeat the Iraq disaster in Iran.

Suddenly that poster hanging in some Houston office seems insignificant at least to me. After the disaster called George Bush over the past 7 years; America and the world need real and meaningful change. Not more of the same empty Fox style attacks. Republicans blew their chance for renewal when Fox marginalized Ron Paul as a viable candidate.

Darryl, your left-wing blather "Bush lied, People Died" is rather tiresome and factually incorrect. You obviously don't read much because you would have noticed the recent articles in LA Times and the Washington Post that answers your rediculous rant. But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of a good smear. You see pretty good at ignoring facts.

My thought would be that Obama's slogan is "Change We Can Believe In" and then you see flags of a communist oppressor at his Campaign offices. My guess is that this isn't the kind of change we most people would want. No one said we were entitled to all the facts about someone's motives.

I'm guessing there are posters here who have no idea about the murderous rampage of Che'.
Obama should be ashamed to have his poster next to Che.
And yes Reagan is repected, or 'idolized' as one refernced here. He was not a murderer, so that was a lame comprison.

Brian, it would appear you don't know what a fact is. Both articles you sight as having facts that back up your point of view are opinion pieces. Opinions are not fact. Maybe you should quote the parts of the report that actually back up your opinion, if they're actually there

Jumping JC! how utterly stupid. Yes, yes it is only left wing moonbats that idolize their leaders... give me a break. You seem smarter then that.

Where are the weapons of mass destruction Brian? Anyone with a basic understanding of the Middle East knew from the beginning that Saddam (a secular dictator) had no relationship with Bin Laden (an Islamic fanatic who wants to overthrow all secular leaders and create one Islamic state).

Bush manipulated intelligence, sold a war based on lies and as a result 4 thousand Americans have died along with countless Iraqi civilians.

How does McCain represent change? He has been in the senate for a quarter century, wants to continue the war for 100 years and his only solution for the economy is to continue along the same path as Bush's failed policies. That is not change.

You have also confused opinion for facts with your links. Where have you been the last 7 years? There is a difference between partisanship and principle.
