"Grits should go for it"
That's the title of an article in today's The Daily News in Halifax. Good closing paragraph that Dion should perhaps take into consideration...
Dion should draw the "river" and "flop" cards in Harper's game of Ottawa Hold 'Em by defeating a weak, bereft-of-new-ideas government. Dion's touchstone today should be the famous words of French revolutionary, Georges Danton: "De l'audace, encore l'audace, toujours l'audace." Rough translation: "Be bold; then, be bold again; always be bold."Now or never... how true indeed. And remember, these aren't the words of a Tory... these are the words of Brian Flemming, who is just about as Liberal as you get... if you're looking for credentials, how's the former Assistant Principal Secretary and Policy Advisor to the Rt. Hon. Pierre E. Trudeau for ya?
Canadians love bold leaders. Waiting wimpily for more favourable electoral winds won't work. It's now or never for Dion.
