SHAPIRO CLEARS HARPER AND EMERSON
WOO HOO! Shapiro has cleared Prime Minister Harper and Minister Emerson of ANY WRONGDOING with Emerson's crossing of the floor. Here's the link to the report on the Ethics Commissioner's website. (I didn't know he even had one!)
As many of us said all along... there was no basis for an investigation in the first place!!!

So, now that Shapiro has made a decision you agree with, he is no longer a complete Liberal lackey whose opinions should be immediately disregarded?
You guys are funny!

Correct, but that doesn't mean Harper had the right to thumb his nose at the investigation. In short, Harper made this a news story and an issue because of his mouth.
Also, how could Shapiro clear Harper, I thought he was a liberal lackey and completely biased?
A little crow pie maybe? ;-)

Shapiro still needs to go. He's biased unethical and incompetant, not my words but the words of Democracy Watch.
The fact that he even undertook this investigation shows biased. He knew there was nothing to this before he accepted the greivance. When the Liberals were in power, the NDP were calling for Shapiros firing, now that he can be used as a tool to fight the evil Conservatives, he's Ok.
This is the same man that assigned a law firm that donated $165,000 to the Liberal party (in a 3 year period), to research Liberal MP Judy Sgro for any wrong doings, while partners in the firm were defending 3 former Liberals at the Gomery Inquiry! Can you say conflict of interest?
What do you do when your Ethics Commisioner has repeatedly shown himself to be unethical, biased and incompetant?
You fire him at your nearest convenience!

I'm "Woo Hoo"ing because I've been proven right. Shapiro still must go, but I'm allowed to celebrate when he gets something right, aren't I?
The fact that he's made ONE right decision doesn't change how I feel about him one little bit! If it did, then for sure, you'd have grounds to call me a hypocrite too... cause that's what I'd be!
(I think I can say fairly safely that if I've been one thing in all my blogging, I've at least been CONSISTANT in my views)
