MY Handgun Plan... that will work!

I've got the ultimate plan... one that both Left and Right will be able to support!

Banning all handguns will not remove one single gun from the hands of criminals who have them. A mandatory sentence for illegally carring a weapon is the ONLY solution to getting punks with guns off the streets... make the penalty so stiff that it's not worth the risk to carry one. And the Liberals have said they will spend $150 million to compensate gun owners. Say what? NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT IT WILL COST!!! What about all the gun shops you're going to put out of business? And the lost jobs? And all the gun club owners... how much is it going to cost to compensate them?

Here's an idea... why not spend that $150 million on ENFORCEMENT? That's right... set up a couple of task forces to get the guns off our streets.

Here's my supreme idea... how about a $10,000 reward for people to turn in someone who carries a gun? THAT'S 15,000 GUNS OFF THE STREET! Hey, why not make it a whopping $20,000... that's 7500 guns!!! Do you REALLY think there are that many on the street? No? Then there you go... give the money directly to people in those communities who know who have the guns, and solve a whole bunch of problems all at once. The police say they can't get people to talk... well, $20,000 would make me sing! Thus, you get the guns off the street, you get the punks who wield them behind bars, and money goes into the hands of people in those communities who need it. Don't the lefties always say that's the real root of crime? Poverty? This plan will help to solve that too!
