Thompson working for VP spot?

GOP Presidential Candidate Fred Thompson has an opt ed piece in last Friday's Wall Street Journal, urging American conservatives to stick to the principles of conservatism, and to not lose hope. It's called, "The Death of Conservatism Is Greatly Exaggerated".

Here's a great line from it, one that's obviously directed at the so-cons, and is bang on the money: "An education system cannot overcome the breakdown of the family, and the social fabric that surrounds children daily."

I still say he'd make a fine VP.

Hostage taking at Hillary Clinton office in NH

From the "WHAT THE ...?!?!?" files... some wacko has taken hostages at a New Hampshire campaign office for Hillary Clinton, and strapped a bomb to himself.

I mean, buddy, there are plenty of us who don't like her, but this is no way to express your feelings!

I really hope this guy gives himself up pronto, and that everyone makes it out of this okay.

Former Senator Fred Thompson announced at a taping of the Late Show with Jay Leno that he is in the running to become the next president of the United States of America.

Sweet Fred Thompson '08 Shirt!

Just looking at the Fred Thompson '08 Facebook group I joined, and someone posted a pic of this sweet looking shirt...

I thought I was the only one who remembered that he did a cameo in Tom Clancy's "The Hunt For Red October" back in the early 90's. And I like the play on it... "The Hunt for a Red November"! Hear hear!

Kinda tempting to get one...
