Garth wants to know about 10%ers

Liberal MP Garth Turner is complaining about the Conservative 10%ers that are being bombarded into his riding.

Well, let's stop and think about this for a second... Garth is a Liberal. We, the CPC (when Garth was on our side) did fairly well in Halton during the last election. Now that it's a red riding, we're spending some of our Parliamentary resources to win that riding back. This is perfectly normal. I'd like to know what riding his own 10%ers are going to... I'm assuming that they're going to some Conservative riding somewhere? Come on Garth, do tell.

Anyway, in reply to his request, I thought I'd let him know that yes indeed, I have been getting some 10%ers over the last few months...

For the record Garth, I've received three of four of these in the last year... while only one from the Conservatives.

So Garth, care to take Jack Layton to task for all the trees he's killed? (cue the crickets...)

Must be a Liberal talking point of the day. Susan Whelan is whining about them on her blog.

Didn't a whole bunch of Liberal 10%ers go out to Alberta ridings when Garth was doing his tour out there?

Maybe Garth should be more careful on segregating his private jobs from his MP duties. It seems that he is using his email contact from his MP website (taxpayer funded) for his own book publishing.

Check out this story for yourself:

I'd like to hear other opinions on whether this is a conflict between privite & MP obligations.

Garth's Loonie toon tour out west here, they didn't use 10%. The Liberals targeted a specific group of people and sent them personal letters
at the cost of 100X more to the tax payer. They use the same method when Ken Dryden made a tour. The people they targeted were old age and people who had invested into income trusts. To this day Garth claims that the Government supplied them with this personal information. I think Garth is running scared, people in Halton are realizing the GT is just a snake oil salesman.
