Another MP not returning... a Tory this time
Manitoba Tory MP Brian Pallister has announced that he will not be standing for re-election in the next federal election.
That brings us up to 7 MP's who aren't returning... in contrast to Mr. Dion's team, who are down a whopping 17 bodies.

Why do you try to spin everything?
Why don't you do a statiscal study from the time of Confederation to the current Parliament detailing the number of MP's who decided to not to run in the next election. Making sure to cover all relevant statistical variables, ie. age, sex, length of service, party affiliation and anything else that may be relevant and then post. If this represents some statistical anonomly I might be persuaded that these retirements are somehow relevant.

Sure, how about this stat? When was the last time you saw almost 20% of sitting MP's of a Party decide NOT to run again?
Pretty rare.

Isn't this already a known thing to happen for some time now? I must have read this about Mr. Pallister since last year.. Isn't he pursuing some other "endeavor" (local/provincial politics perhaps)...
