I've often wondered if needing to have a lot of money in order to win an election is the way that democracy was intended to work.

You're right, it's not... but since the Liberals have killed us on this front for the last 50 years, through major corporate money and theft, it's nice to see the tables turned.
And if it finally levels the playing field, so we have two even and viable federal parties, then so be it.
