The New Liberal Sponsorship Scandal

Mr. Dion wants to consider sponsoring Taliban prisoners... "We may bring them in Canada".

Stephane Dion wants to sponsor terrorists. In our cities. We are not making this up.

Then again... maybe it's not a good idea. Wow... flip flopping on his own idea that quickly. Amm, and this guy wants to run the country?

Can we trust anything he says, if he's so prone to changing his stand on the fly? How about, "Kyoto won't cost us much"? Or, "We will make changes to the income trust plan"?

"His name is Flipper, Flipper, king of the Grits..."

Quick Clarification Question: Are they prisoners that were once Taliban? Or are the Taliban's prisoners? Cause depending on how he said/how I read it, I might not have a problem.

    Fitz:

The Liberal suggestion was to bring captured guerrilla Taliban fighters to be incarcerated in Canada.

Fitz, why would either of your interpretations of who might be coming to Canada cause me not to frown?

One is not better than the other..

They are Taliban for Gods sake!

You start giving the troops grief over captured prisoners, and pretty soon..*poof* no more prisoners...addition by subtraction one would say..

Sorry about the confusion, but I guess I thought if the Taliban had prisoners that we were going to liberate, I thought it might not be such a bad thing.

Hey Fitz, I can see where that confusion could arise. You're right... if they were people who had been prisoners of the Taliban, I might not be opposed to bringing them here.

Dion never ceases to amaze me...Taliban have suicde bombers to kill Afghani's...the Afghan police should be allowed to imprison them. Where does Dion get his info 'alleging' that these people were treated badly? From the terrorists?I would like someone in the HoC to challenge him on his source. And if one of those Taliban were in any way connected to the planted bombs that killed our Canadian guys, they are probably quite happy to be in the hands of the Afghani police.
He is an embarrassment! If anything of this story gets to our soldiers he should be ashamed!
Iggy was blabbing his high and mighty mouth about this too!

Steve Janke has commented on a friend of Iggy's that is probably fueling these 'allegations'
