Two more down
Two more Liberal MP's announce they will not be running again... Toronto MP Jim Peterson and PEI's Joe McGuire.
That brings the current known total to at least 10... anyone else know any others I'm missing? (or any Tories that I've missed?)

I was wondering when someone would catch on to this. The number of Liberal's "retiring" in advance of the next election is astonishing to me. Either there is an internal purge going on that will allow Mr. Dion to meet his goal of having at least a third of the candidates be women, or the MP's within the party fear that they will be wiped out in the next election and are cutting their losses to avoid a loss. This is a very interesting time in Canada.

10 - 15 is the usual turnover in elections for the Liberals.
Thankfully some of the retiring MP's from the Liberals are the right wing nuts who voted against same-sex and would love to see abortion outlawed.
Liberals need to be Liberal and halt this crazy drive to the right on social issues spurred on by the Moral Minority!!

Getting rid of Wappel and the other crazy right wing Liberals is a good thing.
We cant let Harper try and win another vote and undo same sex marriage or abortion.
The Christian right is very wrong.
Tories should be making sure that they reject candidates who have a right wing social agenda. That is the path to opposition.

When they all resign I may vote liberal again, but until then, seeing them decimated in the next election would be just as pleasant.

Don't worry, CC. Maybe there's a new poll out that our friends have heard about and it's driving them nuts. Let's take pity on them.

Why are Lib bloggers so pre-occupied with sexual activity?Don't they know there is a whole lot more going on in Canada? They need to get out more.
