Just when you thought he was gone

"Joe Who?" rears his head... and takes a pot shot at Mr. Harper's government.

Don't forget Joe... at least he outlasted you at the job.

Joe endorsed Paul Martin in 2004, so we no longer have to pretend that (a) he's not a jackass (b) his wife's not a witch, and (c) his daughter's not a moron.

I hate that I have to admit for the rest of my life that I voted for him in '98. Gak.

And to think that if Joe Clark's words were given credence, the Conservatives would still be split today and the Liberals would still be in power; Sponsorship/Adscam and constant Liberal scandal notwithstanding.

Time for this closet Liberal dinosaur to go back into the ground and resume his fossilization.

Joe is just a bitter man. Bitter that the West abandoned the Progressive Conservatives. Bitter that the PC's couldn't make a financial go of it. Bitter that the PC's couldn't form a government. Bitter that men with vision united the parties. And bitter that Stephen Harper is the PM. Hence the stream of well timed comments designed to undercut the Conservative Party of Canada. Joe, if you can't find something nice to say about someone, keep your mouth shut.

Sigh! I also voted for him in 1998 - on both ballots. Well, as one gets older, one generally recognizes the mistakes of one's youth.
