    Rather weak argument you propose.
    Times change, circumstances change.
If you polled the population i'm sure their view has changed.

So why do we need this law?
I know it helps sell the politics of fear, but is this law needed.

    Dion is soft on terror.

Have the circumstances really changed? Is the world much safer from the threat of terrorism in 2007 than it was in 2002, when the bill was passed. I don't think so.

If the circumstances have changed then why is that prominent members of the Liberal party such as, Bob Rae, Anne McLellan, John Manley, and several MP’s in the Liberal caucus have actually come out in support of this bill?

It is certainly looking more and more that Stephane Dion is just playing politics with the security of Canadians.
