Frank Valeriote makes ANOTHER website mistake

First, the website address on his signs was busted... this time, it's an ethical issue on his MP website... check below. Can you see the mistake? Can you see the violation of the rules for MP's websites?

Did you spot it? No? Here's a hint... what Party does Frank belong to? NOW YOU GOT IT!!!

MP's websites are NOT permitted to display the partisan political logos of the Member's party... that's a no-no. Frank got caught doing the same thing a few years ago on his 10%ers too, as seen here...

Sorry Frank, better luck next time... in the meantime, make sure you get your web guys to pull the logo ASAP. We'll be watching.

If this was a conservative it would be the top story on ctv and cbc tonight. Headline would be, "Another Conservative candidate caught in illegal campaign scheme."

Not that I'm one to defend Liberals. But I believe you have made a mistake here. That is not a Parliamentary website, but his own personal website. As such, he can put whatever he wants on it.

If you go to his page on the Parliamentary website, you will find this disclaimer:

"Please note that the Web sites of MPs and Caucuses are not part of the Web Site of the Parliament of Canada."

Why did Tony Clement's Twitter feed change? You need to take a deep breath and come back to reality.

    you got that right
the media always comes after the Conservatives at election time as pay back for not giving them as much time as they would like. So much for fair and equitable reporting

@Reid, that actually is the official website he uses for Parliamentary purposes (it has "mp" in the url and also has the links to his voting record and Parliamentary issues). The same thing has happened to Anita Neville, Shawn Murphy, Justin Trudeau, and Wayne Easter when they used their websites in tandem with a link to the Party.

Anon@12:29, that's a campaign website... NOT an MP's website. BIG differnce.

Seriously. Complaints about the man's website? In the interest of balance, I would point out that this is not the first time an MP has put the party logo someplace they shouldn't: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/rahim-jaffer-removes-party-logo-from-website-amid-influence-allegations/article1528446/

Also, I just checked out the websites for Michael Chong and John Baird were down, are they now unworthy to run as federal candidates?

I'm dying here for an honest and fair discussion of the issues, and not who won't debate who and who has website issues.

Awful rich having you complain about a breach of rules. Bunch of hypocrites. And seriously, an election is on and all you can do is mudsling? Typical Conservatard.

Like Tory ministers handing out government cheques with Conservative logos on them. That's ok to you?
