PETA insults Arctic First Nation peoples
Disgusting. I don't nomally have the time of day for the nutbars at PETA, but this new protest is crossing a line even for them... taking a traditional First Nations symbol of the Inukshuk, and turning into a stick figure of a man clubbing a baby seal.
The folks at PETA should apologize to the various Artic First Nation peoples IMMEDIATELY, and withdraw this disgusting slur of a campaign.
The seal hunt is a part of their traditional heritage, and to use multiple aspects of their cultural traditions for their own PR purposes is contemptable. Shame on them.
Therefore, I'd like to refer the folks at PETA to our Right Honourable Governor General Michelle Jean with their complaint about the traditional seal hunt...

NOTHING about PETA is honourable. They compared raising animals for food to the Holocaust, for crying out loud.

I'm no PETA fan, but dude, you're being a little too sensitive.
Why not fire some of this spite right back? PETA - not a leader! PETA - just visiting!
You guys are good at this sort of thing...

But Mr. (or Ms.) Anonymous Troll, I did fire something back... or, at least, our Right Honourable Governor General did. She really rocks, eh?

Not to be too picky here, but....
The Inuksuk is a traditional Inuit utility that, depending on how it is shaped or where it points, conveys a message to others - it is not a "First Nations" (formerly "Indian") anything.
"Arctic First Nations" is also inaccurate, there are "Arctic First Peoples" but that is not the same thing as "First Nations".
That said, it's good to see people giving PETA the attention they deserve - that being "negative".

Hey stageleft, I went looking online, and according to Wiki, it's not exclusively an Inuit symbol... I was going to say that initially, but then changed it to reflect what I'd read.
Thanks for the further correction on "Arctic First Peoples"... I was trying to get my terms right, and wasn't quite sure how to put it.
