The sub-$10,000 car is back
I've said for a while that which ever auto maker came out with a sub-ten thousand dollar car would do well in today's market... looks like one of them may be giving it a go.
With the high Canadian dollar, and to celebrate their 25th year in Canada, (can you believe it's been a whole 25 years since the horrible Pony made it's debut?) Hyundai Motors Canada is offering a $3,600 instant rebate on their base model Accent... which brings the sticker price down to $9,995, below the $10,000 mark.

Let's see if there's a surge in economical gas sipping sub-compact sales...

Have to agree that they will sell these things like hotcakes! Smart move, decent car. (real conservative)

If only my own death trap of an accent hadn't scarred me for life...
The price tag is appealing tho.

Now just wait for the environmentalists to start complaining that these cheap cars will pull people away from public transportation and lead to the downfall of society.

I bought an Accent in the fall and love my little 'mobile. Wish they could've come in green though (and not for political reasons!).
