Liberal "I'm just an ordinary Canadian" in flu lineup shown the OLO door
Wow, looks like Peter Donoldo is pretty heartless and cut-throat when it comes to cleaning out the Liberal OLO... Iffy staffer Mark "I'm just an ordinary citizen waiting to get the flu-shot for my kid" Sakamoto has been shown the door at the OLO, along with fellow Toronto Liberal Alexis Levine.
I thought the incident was an issue, but I certainly didn't think it was a firing offense.

As much as I thought the incident was silly, I agree its pretty heartless to be fired over it.
I certainly hope he finds employment soon and I'm sure you'll agree that we should pray for his family.

Perhaps they were afraid of the queue jumper label. There has been some firings over this sort of thing. But I agree it is overblown.

Good for Donolo, it shows he means biz. Conservatives should take note - if in fact that was the actual reason for him being turfed and not just a general house cleaning.

I think Donolo was using Sakamoto as an example to the Liberal rank and file. This sleazy kind of stuff is going to stop. Maybe he has also had a chat with Bob Rae, Martha Hall-Findley, Carolyn Bennett (granny clampet) and the resident wing nut Hedy Fry. Maybe just maybe Donolo will bring some credibility back to the once mighty Liberal party.

How about the reporter that talked to him, shouldn't he get fired too.

His sin wasn't being in the queue; that was his right as a parent. The problem is that he allowed himself to be interviewed by CBC as an 'ordinary' citizen without revealing his bias and his connections; if he wasn't planted in the queue in the first place. So if he was fired because of the furore surrounding the interview, it was for the sin of being caught out.

It seems as if Ignatieff sounds is in panic mode.
