"Hidden Agenda"? A Grit/Green Deal?

Rumours are swirling that Dion and May have a "hidden agenda" to disenfranchise millions of Canadian voters, by circumventing the popular vote and stealing 24 Sussex from Canadians for Mr. Dion.

Word is that if things look close in the final days of the election, that Ms. May will "release" her voters and candidates to support Liberals in close ridings, thus preventing Mr. Harper from winning the election.

Statisticaly, Mr. Harper could win 41% of the vote, (as he's currently polling in a just released CBC/Harris/Decima poll) but Canadians could still be robbed of their more popular choice for Prime Minister... should such a deal exist and be implemented.

More details on this to come, rest assured...

May can say whatever she wants, unless she's holding a gun to the individual voters heads in the booth she can't really force them to vote one way or the other. If she does tell this to her voters though it just confirms the farce of letting her in the debates. Leaders of political parties don't tell the voters to vote for other parties. How she can remain leader after this is beyond me.

I can't see that happening. May would be committing treason against her own cause. The Green voters would support another party beside the Liberals to send May that message.

It would demonstrate, one again, that the Liberals will do anything for power. And even if it did, the very BEST thing that the Liberals could hope for after a scenario like that in the face of such Tory support is a Liberal minority government; a Tory minority would be most likely. The backlash against the Liberals and the Greens after the swift defeat of either minority would massive. Short term gain for long term pain. I wonder if even the Liberals would be so stupid.

What?it's news to some people that if you vote for the green party you are throwing your vote away?? This is rich if true I have to wonder how many Canadians would follow the Fast talking Ms May over the "cliff of irrelevance" into "carbon canyon" It would have to depend on the election being very close and of course "the lemmings" swallowing the green koolaid. Begs the rehtorical question" are Canadians STUPID"??
    cheers Bubba

If this occurred then Harper's objection to having May in the debate would be utterly vindicated, making him look both smart and victimized, and Dion look
    duplicious.

That might be enough to deliver a tory majority.

Even May and Dion must see this, which is why I doubt the rumour is true.

Pursuant to my last post, did Harper object to May being in the leader's debate knowing that his objection would prevent a stunt like this?

Perhaps that's more cunning than even Harper deserves credit for.

On Duffy yesterday, Mike said that the Quebec Green Party head honcho was running for the Dippers.
If a high positioned Greenie jumped ship, he would bring with him some very usefull information.
Would that explain PMSH & Jack teaming up to keep May out of the debates?
yah gotta admit, it was more than strange Jack and PMSH put up a united front.

    by JC Kelan

Little ditty about Jack and Dion
A kid from Quebec et un gar de Lyon
Jacky wanna be a Kyoto star
Dion, debutante in a hybrid car

Suckin’ on tofu dogs, watchin the CBC
    Dion sittin on Jacky’s lap
    Dreams a grit minority
    Jacky say, “Hey Dion,
I’ll help you get rid of Steve,
then I’ll sit in your cabinet,
let me do what I please”

    Chorus:

    Oh yeah, life goes on
Long after the thrill of voting is gone
Oh yeah, say life goes on,
Long after the hope of winning is gone, they walk on

Jacky sits back and reflects for a moment
Dion scratches his head and does his best Howard Dean
“Well you know, Dion, Liz’ll be a problem”
Dion says, “Jack, she’s already on my team”

    Chorus:

    Oh yeah, life goes on
Long after the thrill of voting is gone
Oh yeah, say life goes on,
Long after the hope of leadin” is gone, they walk on

Steve’s gonna rock, Steve’s gonna roll
Let the “Green Shift” pull him up in the polls
Hold onto power as long as he can
    Change come around real soon
    Steve’s got a majority plan

    Chorus:

    Oh yeah, life goes on
Long after the thrill of voting is gone
Oh yeah, say life goes on,
Long after all the dreamin’ is gone, they walk on

Little ditty ‘bout Jack and Dion
two Lefties gettin’ whupped by the neo-con.
